Salem actually hosted the ACC baseball tournament in 2003 and 2004

Followed by 4 years in Jacksonville (2005-2008) before it started moving around between the Durham Bulls Stadium, Greensboro, and Charlotte. Only once since 1985 has it been played in a city that had an ACC school there. That was Louisville in 2017. Having the softball tournament in Salem is an awesome idea. It will probably never fly unless Salem gets aggressive with the bid, but who knows.
