reported to Ft Benning GA 4 days after graduating and serve as an Infantry Airborne 2LT in Vietnam less than a year later. Old enough to have grandchildren graduating from college this may AND old enough to have adopted as my new mantra: “ Old man. Been there. Done that”. All together that makes me about seventyelevenfortyseven years old. Also, old enough so when I was attending VPI almost everyone knew and sang the words to Tech Triumph and loudly cheered to and knew what Ole Hokie: One two. One two meant.
