In regards to a replacement, I wonder if we could benefit from another female coach/former pitcher who pitches in the 50's/60's. Coach Lewis and Coach Mata clearly do an amazing job of preparing our hitters to hit elite pitching / velo. But to get to where we all want our program to be, we've got to be able to consistently crush the 'normal' mid to high 50's pitchers as well. Those type of 'non-elite' pitchers simply shouldn't be able to shut us down ... especially late in the season. Very excited to see how our team takes shape for the fall. This past season, we were definitely strong enough to still be playing ... just didn't work out (I'll confess, I haven't quite gotten over that yet ... would have loved to see our seniors play for at least one more weekend. As I know we all would have :(
