The basic math (runs produced vs. runs cost) suggests that you can.

It's not personal--it's numbers/results. Too many wild throws to first. Can't have it. Especially in the post season. And, again, not personal, but the reality is that Slaw had a really tough couple of games at the plate in Pittsburgh. It's only 2 games, but still, it could be a trend/reversion to the mean. Maybe they are pitching her differently.

We've seen Pete do things--Brownie went from starter to basically splitting time w Overaitis. Maybe you see Peck and Slaw split time at DP. There are also pinch hitting opportunities. In Pete we trust. If he doesn't think any changes are necessary, fine. But you know that unforced errors drive him bananas and I think he would rather lose by one of our batters striking out than on an error in the field.

Can't Monte Carlo simulations be used to optimize lineup?

I would like to see Brown inserted back at leadoff. She puts pressure

Interesting thought. Might make sense.**

You might be onto something. Unlikely to shift 3 players post-season though**

I doubt the numbers are in favor of sitting Peck.**
