"Swinging hard" and let's "see what happens" is not a hitting strategy. If

you noticed the LSU hitters swing according to the situation. They shorten up and put the ball in play, they punch the ball through the infield. When all you do is swing hard every time, you get a lot of pop ups and fly outs and that is exactly what we are seeing. Also down 5 runs late you should be much more selective at the plate and maybe draw a walk or two.
