Best chance to make it as a host and the playoffs in general..if you schedule teams that will likely have a low RPI and SOS you do so at your own risk..this way it becomes truly a math game as opposed to who are truly the best teams… but it’s fine to schedule top 30 teams and get your ass smacked around to still “ get in.” This is a bit tongue and cheek and meant to be on the lighter side but it’s not far from the truth…get an MIT math nerd to run a program that does your schedule and yields the best. Handy for success… Gonna be real interesting what kind of success the RPI and SOS teams who just “snuck in” the tourney do over the coming weeks… ** Edited by sacramento hokie at 5/10/2026, 6:05:17 PM
