Rephrasing: Sure 2-1 was a good loss. My "but" was
it can also be interpreted as our high powered offense produced one run and that also occurred due to an error. Losing 2-1 can pass they eye-test but, unfortunately, rankings and such will often just look at the L. That being said, they might just look at the Ws the first two games without taking into account the offense being limited in game 1 (UVA). So i will edit myself. Yes, good loss, I just meant they could think the offense was limited in 2-of-3 games. I think the committee looks at those HRs against Duke and likes us.
Unfortunately, we likely needed to win today to host.
