The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs started the SPHL playoffs this week with the first series being a best of three against Birmingham, who won 4 out of 5 during the regular season. Well the Dawgs emphatically proved that the regular season doesn’t matter. They beat Birmingham 7-1 Thursday in Alabama and finished them off with a 6-0 win tonight at home. And yes I went to the Hokies game at 2:00 today and made it to Roanoke for the 7:00 puck drop tonight. No Sunday game necessary. 😀 So I will be in Charlottesville tomorrow, wearing a TSL hat and sitting near the BT dugout.
