Aggressiveness also earns runs that wouldn't have scored otherwise. So

how about recognizing that and counting all the runs that did score when they got waved home? Pete is clearly of an aggressive mindset, and he wants to force the other team to throw runners out at the plate. It's a lot harder than it looks, and biased counts of failures-only can't possibly tell you if it's a bad strategy. I like the aggression, because the best coaches across all sports at all levels now have the same attitude. In short, fear-based strategies are for losers.
