Yeah, it feels like a conventional pitching approach would have won both

today (i.e. Mazz vs Michigan State). However this early in the season can be time to experiment a bit to see what ya got and what works and what doesn't. And that info can be helpful later. Oh well. No undefeated season this year. We'll bounce back.
