Protecting the pitcher perhaps...the girl that pitched most of yesterday
had a cut hand....but the catcher continued the walk up with each successive pitcher. Maybe the injury to the starter occurred some how with a errant toss and the coaches changed things up.

My guess is a mild arm injury or has the yips and can't make a throw.**
