Curious, if I put the P2 and the ACC, B12, PAC on a map
Does it influence your view as to who should be considered for any possible P2 expansion? Or any possible P2 reduction and kicking schools out of the P2?
Assuming anything is possible, does the geography of the two groups have any impact on your guesses for the future?

surprise me if the Big Ten decided to expand into Canada too. FWIW the origins of North American gridiron football can be traced to the University of Toronto with the first documented game played at University College in 1861. The University of Toronto played its first intercollegiate football game in 1877 against the University of Michigan. It appears the school plays both versions of football (American and Canadian). With a total enrollment of 100K (80K undergraduate and 20K graduate) and membership in the AAU, it would seem the Varsity Blues may be the perfect access to an untapped market. It is also worth mentioning that NCAA DII has 1 Canadian school (Simon Fraser) and the NAIA has 1 or 2 schools (University of British Columbia or University of Vancouver...I forget which), so adding the Varsity Blues at the DI level may not be that foreign of a concept.

Considering the network's point of view, I'm not sure the SEC can remain a regional conference ' at least in football. With all of the changes that have taken place, football may need to separate from the rest of the athletic department, and do their own thing. If that were to happen, maybe we can get back to regional conferences for basketball and the non revs.
Football only members are happening in the G6 - mostly because of the cost of travel, but it's also good for the real student athletes that will never get paid.

and some lists on what ESPN/Fox-etc. would like to see.
The scarcity of FBS between Lincoln and The Pacific Ocean stands out on the P2 map. Maybe the TV geniuses think this doesn't matter because somehow subscription fees will make up for shrinking ad dollars. But streaming seems to have devolved into just an interesting theory. And I think advertising dollars seeking a broad footprint across dense, rich markets will always matter. ESPN and Fox share Big 12 football. Will that be enough for ESPN/SEC?
