through the existing media contract. It is also opt in, so if a school does not want to participate, they don't have too. The interest rate is reported to be around 8%.

...asking for some information about a building my company renovated for him a few years back. Their tenant had signed a long-term lease and the landlord (our client) fronted a sizeable amount of money to renovate ~50,000 SF of manufacturing and office space for the tenant. Apparently after 2-3 years, the tenant's ownership group decided to cash out and sell the business to a private equity group, which promptly ran the business into the ground within two years, and they recently moved out under the cover of darkness and defaulted on about half of their lease term. Our former client was calling me to ask for some information about the scope of the renovation we performed so that he could help secure a lease with a new tenant in an attempt to stem their losses.
So, the moral of the story is: PE firms will usually destroy everything they touch. Good luck, B12.

are calling this the Iowa State lifeline, as they are in real financial trouble as they have spent a lot of money on facilities. I'm not sure how many schools will tap into the $30M credit line, but PE now has a toehold.

Iowa State keeps getting crap about being broke due to the AD's speech a year ago about revenue sharing. Iowa State is in the same financial situation including Kansas as a lot of P4 schools. They do have the Cytown project getting near completion so maybe they do need a little bit to get over the hump before the revenue starts rolling in.

right that there are other schools that are having a tough time adjusting to the amounts players are receiving, and K-Dtate is right there with ISU.
BTW, confusing Kansas with K-State is very much like confusing Virginia with VT.
KU, financially, is in a very very good place compared to their peers, and will be competitive in football (or at least getting the players).

Is confusing Kansas with UVA or confusing K State with Virginia Tech.
