So it begins - Holiday Bowl can't find a broadcast partner
No broadcast partner, no money for bowl game, then bowl game shuts down.
Holiday Bowl will likely need to take a haircut to even exist.
Networks saving up cash for new NFL deal.
Nobody knows if mid-tier bowls will even exist in 3 years, with possibility of expanded playoffs.
Lot's of stuff in the air for college football.

San Diego is trying to re-start the Poinsette Bowl, and match the new PAC 12 champion against the MW champion. They do not have a sponsor yet, but it would be at the beginning of the Bowl season, not toward the end of the Bowl season.
In addition, Fox floated having the Holiday Bowl in Saudi Arabia this coming year, and it was Phillips that said no thanks. The dollar figures for that game were not released, but oversees games generally pay a pretty good chunk of money. Also, the Holiday matchup was set to be an ACC team against a "former" PAC 12 team, and that presents problems on the matchup. The old PAC bowl tie ins continue to be a problem.
I believe Yormark would want to play in a Bowl game on the other side of the pond, especially with the way those games tend to pay out.

This game will be logistical nightmare for the teams involved.

Practice facilities
Wicked Jet Lag.
All so a couple 7-5 teams can play another game, minus their portalled ex teammates.

And they will - this isn't the Shreveport Bowl committee pinching pennies while they pinch coeds.
The host country will need to come up with some attendees - Local US military bases? US Ex pats?
All this for some sports washing?

and 13-14 hours on the flight back. It is worth noting that for the flight home, I left Dubai around 3am, the flight path took us over Iran the more eastern part of Eastern Europe, and I am landed in Dulles sometime between 7-8am the same day.

It would be great have a B12/ACC bowl game that paid out like the CFP.
Besides, I'd love to go there and ride that crazy roller coaster at Six Flags Qiddiya City.

there is always some sort of conflict going on in that region, so I get why conferences may be leery to commit to anything. The teams could already be over there getting ready to play in the bowl game when the next conflict starts.

it’s a Bowl if you want to get Sponsorships and make the Chambers of Commerce in that city happy. It’s not a bowl, if it’s a home or away game, it’s still a incredibly watchable game If it’s a OOC rivalry game, people will talk about it the off season, and tickets and TV shouldn’t be a problem.

Just for example, I like the border state ones, but bring back ND and USC for instance.
PS Expand the playoff to 24 and drop Conference champs games. Plenty of great games/TV in December and early January, with intense meaning.
