Is being a P2 coach a bad thing now? Chances of losing 2-4 games up and
the media money you make can’t be used on players. Is it now better to just rely on donor money that can be used for players, versus media money in these stacked conferences? Is it me or has the paradigm shifted greatly this season so that for instance SMU with no media money, has a better chance than many in the P2 of making the playoff two years in a row?

SEC gone Ark, Fla Auburn LSU next up SC, maybe Tex (coach goes the NFL), Ky, Ole Miss if Kiffen goes, Missouri maybe or A&M if elko goes to PSU>

athletic dept. They care about winning. I think VT fans would be much happier at 8-4 in the ACC than 4-8 in the SEC.

There are special teams some years that can't be beat, or are clear title contenders, maybe this year it's tOSU, as they look unbeatable. Otherwise, how do you pick the best teams in the SEC this year? The B12, or even the ACC?
BYU may be having a special year, but the polls haven't given them the nod to be a title contender. The polls like IU, and they may have a special year going - they certainly got a real quarterback from Cal in the portal. The point is, there will be a LOT of 2 loss schools this year. After this last weekend, the ACC appears to be a one invite conference. The B12 may get two this year, as BYU was screwed last year when they beat SMU head to head.
The P2, with the "blue bloods" consolidated, will beat up on each other, and perineal title contenders will struggle.
Also, where do you see that schools can not use media money to pay players?

school from spending more? Maybe it's a hard cap, but unless there is a hard minimum, I don't seethe point.

so more TV revenue doesn't give a school more to spend on player "salaries". but it would make it easier to spend up to the cap and support the programs in other ways.

am talking about media money to pay NIL. NIL is the big money and what gets the best athletes, and that comes from other entities than the University, like sponsorships etc.
PS I agree on the parity and several schools that never had a chance to make the playoff are making it.
