Fox, ABC Reject Ad Accusing Power Conference Commissioners of Greed
Fox and ABC are refusing to run a new commercial that criticizes power-conference commissioners, according to Texas Tech booster and oil billionaire Cody Campbell. A friend of President Donald Trump, Campbell has been lobbying Congress against the NCAA-backed SCORE Act. He believes a new governing body should replace the NCAA, and that the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 should be amended to allow all college football media rights to be pooled and sold together. He has said that the extra revenue generated could help pay for women’s and Olympic sports. ____________________ Cody Campbell wants to combine all media rights into one big pacakge. That would obviously increase the payout and Fox and ESPN would have to pay more. This would be also good for the ACC and B12.

It will be good for the G6 also.
It wouldn't be socialism or all equal. Big 10 and SEC will still get more, ACC and Big 12 will still get more than the G6, but the gap will be much less. I don't know the exact numbers, but it is something like $90 million Big 10, $85 million SEC, $55 million ACC, $50 million Big 12, $1 - $10 million G6 once you add in CFP, bowls, March Madness, etc. Way too much gap. Campbell needs help from influencers. Saban is not helping. Big name sports personalities and writers like Dellenger, Thamel, Charles Barkley, etc. need to speak up. The writers are scared to death of losing their access to the Big 10 and SEC so they are clamming up. In fact, we have seen the Big 10 and SEC call in favors to writers to attack Cody Campbell this past week. If Campbell is successful, this will bring back and help restore regional conferences like the ACC. The Pac 10 (not the current Pac) may live again. ** Edited by HouClone at 10/8/2025, 1:53:06 PM

Just go to CBS and NBC for NFL and College games!! Be relentless to win and
do Cable Networks and Streaming networks too. ESPN and Fox aren’t literally the only game in town!!

But ESPN and Fox have the most games, thus the most audience.
Plus, you know CBS and NBC would leak to the Big 10 (and probably SEC even though this contract is not with them) that Cody Campbell has inquired about buying ads. The Big 10 and SEC would put pressure on them not to run the ads.

It's a challenge for sure, but that's why I mentioned NFL games 1st.
He would have to be more strategic about where he runs them, but it would be better than nothing. I think CBS would be the most likely to do it, or maybe even local broadcast news.
