are they social, do they attend the accompanied participant social, is folks walking on egg shells or is it just transactional. and listen to Jim Phillips to just pontificate. Watch and see who are the new university leadership for the next 2 years. Right now, UVA President of the Executive council and VT president is also the council. IT will be interesting if any of the magnificent 7 leadership are on the council. I wonder if their are any pleasantries with the FSU delegation.

Why are they suing if they already know it ends?

is the same as it has been from the earliest days. It is ready cover and a perfect excuse for inept FSU leadership. Everybody wants more money and if the suits are successful that may happen.
In the meantime, if FSU stumbles competitively the money and the suit are ready made excuses for their failures. The same applies to Clemson. Both fan bases are focused on the ACC as the source of their problems and, consequently, they are not focused on the choices and decisions of their own leadership be it Willie Taggart or Dabo refusing to play the portal game or a number of other things.
The miscalculation is that there is no going back, at least for FSU, given the way they have handled things and the suits have now become a must win situation, as a loss, and possibly even a settlement of some reduced amount, could be a crippling financial blow more damaging than the reduced payouts of the ACC compared to the P2. Clemson leadership has at least shown some savvy in how they have approached the matter. FSU, on the other hand, from its chemistry prof turned president, to the booster fundraiser now turned AD, to their Board of Trustees has behaved like a petulant child that does not get its way. Norvell and the ex Clemson QB have a lot riding on the upcoming season. Once all is said and done, the real, true story will make an interesting read where we can all see what we may have gotten right as opposed to where we missed the boat, that is unless the whole thing is made clear as mud via a settlement and lock down NDAs. In that case, this topic will join Steph Curry, Kenny Brooks and a number of other dead horses to be revived and repeatedly flogged.
