Expansion hit a roadblock
Sources: ACC Presidents met tonight and the pursuit of Stanford and Cal for conference membership has “hit significant roadblocks.” There’d always been long odds because there wasn’t ever a significant value add. SMU had also been bandied about along with Cal/Stanford, and those conversations aren’t headed anywhere either, per ESPN sources.

Perhaps spoiled, but with the rapid fire actions on expansions the end of last week. Why else would the ACC being sitting on the pot? They cannot get the votes. Those schools wanting to leave the ACC don't want to play Cal & SMU. Just wasted money on travel.

Perhaps it’s dead, and the Clemson guy is saying the same thing, but I wonder about motivation whenever a player in the deal is reporting the news.
