"I coulda been a contendah!" If you are going to fantasize, just include Alabama and Ohio State. It costs nothing to dream big (B1G?)

Consider this schedule. This is all assuming the SEC raids the premier ACC teams. Let's go with Clemson, FSU, Miami, NC State, and UNC. Throw in WVU because I think they would bring a lot to a new SEC. Seriously. Good matchups and fans who actually give a crap.
Hypothetical 9 game VT schedule with this set up.
WVU
@South Carolina
Kentucky
@Clemson
Tennessee

Texas AandM
@Miami

3 B1G teams?
Lane Stadium would be jam packed for these home games. Even more, VT would jam pack the road stadiums too. And WRT ratings, is there any doubt this schedule would not get top tier ratings.
And for the inferiority crowd, once this new thing emerges between the new B1G and new SEC, everyone is going to be on somewhat equal footing and every program is going to have a chance to be good. The top 48 or so teams will all have quality talent because they will all be able to pay players far more than any left out programs. Also, in this new set up, as is the case with the NFL, 3 or 4 loses is not going to be a big deal. 9-3 and 8-4 seasons will likely land you in a post season spot of some kind.

I’d take Pitt over Louisville.

Actually, anyone over Louisville, but PSU checks all your boxes better than most.
