Anybody know what the SEC record is in Bowls right now? ESPN not saying for
$ome reason. 😁

Oops just heard them “quickly” say 0-4.

Oh yeah, the Service Academy teams are 2-0 against both the SEC and ACC.

SEC currently 1 win (South Carolina) 4 loses.

Make that 1-5 with TN going down.

The ACC has its own problems. 0-2, plus 2 Covid no-shows.
And it really doesn't matter.

Bowl season is turning stale to me. I am leaning toward bagging it and going with a 16-team tournament.

16 team tourney be a joke.
First round anyways. I think 6-6 teams should not qualify for bowls. This would cut down on bowl games. 4 team or 8 team using bowls is desire Of mine. I would like to see the G5 also have tourney using bowls. Only issue is when games to play ?

The joke is the fans being con by the networks
The Networks want the 16 tourney and they want to get away f rom the bowls. They want the 16 tourney and frankly only the SEC and Big 10 thats it. The bowls allows for some equity where the ODU Western Ky get to go to a bowl at enjoy the time on the stage at the same time as the rose bowl orange bowl or whatever.

The old BCA allowed teams like VT to get into the national picture, The networks convinced all that was bad and look what we got... and the pressure is open it up for only the SEC and the 'perception that we get the best teams. (who perception??) on the propoagada of the SEC and the networks.

its all about maximimizing the money

ACC is not flaunted by ESPN like the SEC is, so there’s a difference.
ESPN and their self fulfilling hype are sickening. They pulverize the ACC for losing, but barely mention the SEC for being 0-4, it’s like it’s not even happening. No wonder the overall audience for college football keeps declining, and if people at their network speak out about it, your fired!! How disgusting can you get!?!?

Does it really matter?
I get your point but in the big picture it's all about the championship.

No its about ESPN $$$
if you think its for the good of the game, we got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you..

For ESPN the only gravy train for them is the SEC and they will manipulate anything to expand the brand.

If they aren't careful, they'll turn CFB into AAA baseball...
good football that no one cares much about.

I don't watch college sports to see the best possible college teams, I watch teams representing the school(s) I have interest in or perhaps the region I live in.

I watch pro sports to see the best possible athletes/players compete at the highest levels. I'm not interested in watching semi-pro teams even though some of those guys will move on to be NFL stars.

Not what they said when Clemson and FSU won their championships, dialogue
was many SEC teams could have done it because they didn't get beat up all year.

Also, when the ACC goes 0-4, it's talked about a ton.

So yes to answer your question, it shows a lack of consistency and integrity by ESPN.

The SEC is the best conference weather ESPN kisses their butt or not
That is just reality.

Saban is 103-16 against the rest of the SEC, 25% of those loses in yr 1.
So at the top yes, but the fact is they were 1-5 before today and Georgia got manhandled in the SEC Championship game.

This is true for football, problem is how they get there.
