continuity. And the death of one of them was bad news for the sport. I always felt like the ACC and BigXII were bastardized conferences, but the loss of one of the two traditional Rose Bowl participants was really a blow. I always thought that the Pac would have swallowed the B12 and the ACC would be split between the B10 and SEC. A Power 3 if you will. Never happened though.
