Unless you reveal your "sources", it's all BS to me.

Can those three schools afford to lose over half a billion dollars? Does the SEC and B1G want to add 2 schools that are already in SEC states? Does the SEC and B1G want to add schools that they won't have the TV rights to all their home games until 2036? Clemson isn't as wealthy as some people think. Would UNC really leave their beloved ACC? UNC always votes against expansion, It's in their DNA. Their catbird seat seems to get lower with every conference expansion. FSU has always complained. They didn't like the expansion in 2012. They always think very highly of themselves but are one of the reasons (terrible football in the late 2010's and early 2020's) the ACC is in predicament it is in now. Let's say FSU and Clemson and even UNC do leave in 5 years, that's more money for the remaining ACC schools for 7 more years. Who knows what will happen between now and 2036.

If they are out the door, extract every single penny and make their move
Big12 guy 09/01/23 11:11 AM ET
Leaving now would financially cripple Clemson for 5-10 years
Old Line Hokie 09/01/23 11:18 AM ET
I don't see them leaving anytime soon, but if they do, they should be

That is BS.

You don't stay third by taking the Big 12's rejects. If the ACC loses 2-4
wwhokie1 09/01/23 01:26 PM ET
3rd or 4th, doesn't make a difference. Gap to Big 10 and SEC is another
HouClone 09/01/23 01:56 PM ET
Depends on the separation between 3rd and 4th. Too much separation and
wwhokie1 09/01/23 02:46 PM ET
Yes and then the 3rd will be edged out by the Big 10 and SEC.
HouClone 09/02/23 09:40 AM ET
We were already a solid 3rd.**

I guess that's why you earned $136 million less than the ACC last year.
neworleanshoo 09/01/23 04:43 PM ET
That's because the B12 had only 10 schools. Per school it was higher.**

Don’t kill the messenger. That’s what they’re reporting as we speak**

No knock on you. But those guys are just spit balling for clicks.
Truthahn 09/01/23 11:12 AM ET
If true this might explain NC State broke from UNC concerning expansion.**
