Per Greg Fluguar. UVa not interested in following UNC to the SEC if they go

Take it with a grain of salt of course, but his source is someone within the UVa administration. I have the portion of his show linked below where he talks about it (at 7m mark for about 10 minutes or so). BTW, I've always said that the easiest path for VT to get to the P2 is for UVa to go to the Big Ten. I doubt the SEC would just cede the Commonwealth to the B1G. So why not us? ** Edited by Maroon Baboon at 3/21/2026, 11:47:32 PM

Thanks. I don't take Flug seriously but this is interesting.

A potential reason the Big Ten may decide to invite UVA without adding UNC

You asked why the B10 would invite UVa without getting UNC.

UVA may be in their own.

Losing UVa to the B10 will not be a bad outcome for VT.
