EXPLAINED: Clemson vs. ACC lawsuit to be heard in Pickens County, SC

“PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. — A lawsuit filed by Clemson University against the Atlantic Coast Conference is scheduled to be heard by a judge in Pickens County. Clemson University filed the suit against the conference on March 19. The two parties are expected to be in a courtroom on Friday. The case centers around three items: the university's media rights, the ACC's withdrawal penalty and whether Clemson has to act in the conference's best interest.”
