Six TV deal questions πŸ“Ί

I don't know much about conference TV deals. I am particularly thinking about the ACC's deal and the BigXII's deal. 1. Do either have "pro rata" for adding new members? 2. What advantages does the ACC have over the BigXII for having its own network? 3. Is it equally advantageous for each conference to add new members from states that aren't already in their respective footprint? Or is it more important for one conference to do that over the other. 4. The reason why I ask is that I have been wondering over the past several months if it made sense for the ACC to add schools from states that aren't currently in their footprint, even if the school is far away. 5. I also wonder if it is a bad idea to add more than one team from a state. 6. How big does a state need to be as an expansion candidate to make money for existing members? I ask these questions in the current context of survival and making money for existing members. Feel free to answer any or all of them. TIA. ** Edited by Maroon Baboon at 6/7/2023, 9:11:17 PM

At what point does a rivalry stop being one?
hokieball β€’ 06/08/23 11:15 AM ET
To me, real rivals will find a way to play each year.

Hokie1992 β€’ 06/08/23 08:31 AM ET
I would not consider the two the same.

Yes. That's what I'm saying. I'm also saying we have Jim Phillips.
HOO86 β€’ 06/08/23 08:39 AM ET
The author of the ACC contract explicitly stated that there is pro rata

As long as "Big Sports Media" are prioritizing the P2...
