I've made entirely clear that my point is not to invalidate their recent-

title success. My point is that Clemson is not some monolithic, historic icon of college football that people on here act like they are. What they are, RIGHT NOW, is a very good, well run football program. They also benefited from an expanded national championship format. Again, that's not to say they're not really good or didn't deserve it; the format was the format. But, they may or may not have had access to or won those titles under a BCS or similar system. Also - nobody is swinging off Miami's balls anymore; they've become a running joke. "The U is back!" So, I'm not sure where anyone on here is coming with this "Clemson is a Blue Blood" crap. Go look up their actual value, in terms of overall valuation and annual revenue. They are what they are.
