Maybe, but then you have Grand Canyon University as

a basketball only member in the MWC, so that could go wither way. Maybe the MWC invites another football only member. Toledo passed as the other football only member, but Toledo has a lot more history in the MAC, and wouldn't take a football only membership unless it was in a power conference (or real money), and as we could both agree on, that will never happen. If football is separated with the new realities of revenue sharing, then all bets are off. Toledo will do whatever it has to to stay in the FBS division.

Keep in mind Northern Illinois has not made a final decision on what

Ya, but they have a few options. As long as we have

One of the options is joining the MWC which traditionally is a multi-bid

That was not presented as an option to them. They were invited as

Given that Northern Illinois already knew it wouldn't be allowed to remain

There are a couple, but I think they will join the Horizon for basketball.

The Horizon League may make sense for basketball, but does it make sense

Actually Grand Canyon U. will be technically a non-football full member.

Basketball and Olympics are tied to the hip as I understand it. I did not
