The contracts says that "IF" ND gives up independence......

...ND didn't mind agreeing to this since it never had/has any intention of giving up independence. So, that a agreement was no burden to ND, easy to agree to. It gave the ACC the "Dumb and Dumber" type chance if by some upheaval, it was first in line for ND (unless the contract was broken and damages paid out by ND, if the Big Ten deal was worth it to do so). That was like a 60 year old confirmed bachelor who never intends to marry telling someone "IF I ever decided to get married, it will be to you."

Stech 11/20/23 09:48 AM ET

TerryD 11/22/23 12:42 PM ET

TerryD 11/22/23 10:17 PM ET
A link to the agreement information, that’s not even close to a negative.**

Big 10's primary contract is not with NBC

ND is the fourth highest viewed team in the country this year
TerryD 11/22/23 10:59 AM ET
An objective comparison would be ND versus 18 B1G teams & 16 SEC teams, but

reestuart 11/22/23 08:52 AM ET
Getting Notre Dame in the Big10 probably means fewer games for NBC

Very true**

True, I blame them for allowing this, not Notre Dame. I also blame Swofford

It's not just The ACC who treats ND as a special case. The others also

True, but that’s not new, they already have them except away ACC games. New
Stech 11/21/23 09:18 AM ET
NBC doesn't get any ND road games right now, so if they'd start playing

I think this means they won't be joining the B1X in the near term.**
