Even still, take a look at what Nebraska gets paid for their radio rights-

versus what VT gets. It will open your eyes to the disparity in perceived value, even when they have been hovering around .500 and haven't accomplished anything of note since the 1990s. Once the media outlets decide you're important, you're important, and when they decide you're not, then you're not. Any viability VT has remaining is coasting on the fumes of this principle.
