Is this right re: ACC TV reveue?
SMU Pony 01/29/24 09:11 PM ET
SMU is taking $0.00 for 7 years.**
Atlee Hokie 01/30/24 09:04 PM ET
***9 years**
SMU Pony 01/30/24 09:10 PM ET
Damn, that's a long time. I hope it turns out favorably for SMU.
Atlee Hokie 01/30/24 09:15 PM ET
We raised three years of ACC TV revenue distributions in seven days...
SMU Pony 01/30/24 09:24 PM ET
Respect. I love when people put their money where their mouth is.**
Maroon Baboon 01/30/24 09:57 PM ET
Road trips to those venues mean flying. I don't fly if I can help it.
Atlee Hokie 01/30/24 09:43 PM ET
does anyone miss packer and durham?
MrBayAreaHokie 01/30/24 06:59 PM ET
You have it basically correct.
HOO86 01/30/24 06:47 PM ET
You don’t have to book a flight to Charlotte because
WBGV 01/30/24 11:25 AM ET
Riddle me this...
SMU Pony 01/30/24 07:27 PM ET
There is a lot of misinformation about the ACC’s media rights because
WBGV 01/31/24 08:47 AM ET
Have you ever seen the SEC or Big Ten media contracts?
SMU Pony 01/31/24 09:41 AM ET
Hopefully there isn’t a settlement before Florida’s Attorney General
WBGV 01/31/24 11:34 AM ET
I thought they told the AG they contain 'trade secrets'
vtfaninnc 01/31/24 07:34 PM ET
She still wants them and is likely to issue subpoenas for them.
WBGV 02/01/24 10:48 AM ET
No conference releases their media rights contract
SMU Pony 01/31/24 12:07 PM ET
It has been reported the FSU, Clemson, and other Mag7 schools
WBGV 01/31/24 12:46 PM ET
I think they are serious on the issue...
SMU Pony 01/31/24 01:37 PM ET
I take it back, they are not serious. FSU's legal team is a bunch of clowns
SMU Pony 01/31/24 07:06 PM ET
You don’t have to take anything back, you are entitled to attack
WBGV 02/01/24 10:34 AM ET
The message is inaccurate. The messenger (FSU's legal team) is incompetent
SMU Pony 02/02/24 01:28 AM ET
So far...........
2hhoop3 01/31/24 07:32 PM ET
Got their degrees off the shelf at Walmart……**
RJHokie 01/31/24 07:19 PM ET
Maybe they are using Walmart lawyers…..**
RJHokie 01/30/24 08:01 PM ET
I promise you Walmart has better lawyers than FSU.**
SMU Pony 01/30/24 08:02 PM ET
Well, maybe I should have put more context in the post….
RJHokie 01/30/24 08:04 PM ET
Yeah, I'm skeptical of anything in the FSU filing**
SMU Pony 01/30/24 07:13 PM ET
As am I. However, I'm just as skeptical of anything in the ACC filling.**
Atlee Hokie 01/30/24 09:09 PM ET
The real dope on ACC tv revenue is in the "red files"
mancunian 01/30/24 08:58 AM ET
pretty much correct
daveinop 01/30/24 08:44 AM ET
What if the opposite was true and the ACC negotiators
VTCALS72 01/31/24 01:07 PM ET
Couple things...
daveinop 01/31/24 04:02 PM ET
Don't even mention comparisons to the SEC
VTCALS72 01/31/24 04:56 PM ET
I don't think the ACC is on the same level as the SEC
daveinop 01/31/24 06:08 PM ET
Swofford & Co were at best, incompetent and at worse unethical.**
Atlee Hokie 01/30/24 09:12 PM ET
LOL on your last line 🤣🤣**
Stech 01/30/24 05:02 PM ET
I don't think we're going to get any increased ACCN money for Texas and Cal
ChrisLords 01/30/24 01:00 AM ET
Not sure how espn figures in how the ACC shares revenue from ACCN.
Atlee Hokie 01/30/24 09:19 PM ET
ACC Network revenue guaranteed to increase with distribution in TX and CA.
hokieZ71 01/30/24 01:45 PM ET
I think the current ACC schools will technically see an increase due to
reestuart 01/30/24 09:07 AM ET
ESPN can't be happy with the ACC for enacting the pro rata clause
HouClone 01/31/24 02:03 PM ET
But, at least from espn's view, espn is only on the hook 'til 2027.
Atlee Hokie 01/31/24 10:18 PM ET
You know, its possible the ACC is gone with the wind
mancunian 01/30/24 09:22 AM ET
Possible the ACC and Big 12 are "gone with the wind."**
VTCALS72 01/31/24 01:09 PM ET
That's what I think.**
reestuart 01/30/24 09:30 AM ET
Don't we split the ACCN revenue?
EDGEMAN 01/30/24 07:14 AM ET
No, I'm saying there won't be an instate funding increase for Texas and Cal
ChrisLords 01/30/24 01:17 PM ET
I haven't seen this to be accurate.
