Its independence

That is the fatal problem for ND/ACC further involvement. That is what is most important to ND, other than being able to qualify for the playoffs. There are places where the interests of the ACC and ND intersect. That led and to and could lead to certain arrangements. The big issue, as always, is that ND is adamant about staying a football independent. That is where the mutual road forks. The two entities go their separate ways from that point.
