So serious question

ND is all about football independence. If, hypothetically speaking, ND has the magic formula and wins the next 2 or 3 natties and then in 4 to 10 years the SEC and Big 18 say bye bye to the NCAA and the ACC and Big 12 are shells of themselves, would ND go independent if the new super conference leagues mirrored that of the NFL setup? If not, I guess ND will go out with a bang.
