Every team should be able to play in week 0, expand the playoff to 16 and

drop the conference championship games where only 2 teams from the conference can play. The system is simply outdated and if it wasn't for nostalgia, people would not be playing them. Start practice a week earlier in the summer. Also make the early signing day right before practice starts. Preseason Neutral site possible games that are OOC like Bowl Games: Nebraska Oklahoma Virginia Tech West Virginia ND USCw UVA UMD, you may not that one, but pick another one etc 16 team playoff no buys, but top 8 get a home game. Have Thanksgiving weekend for Conference Rivalries, and the next weekend play Army Navy only and everybody else gets a bye to get ready for the playoff. Have the playoff done by the first Monday in January. Start the portal after that. No coach can leave a team until after the National Championship has been played, the NFL already has a rule like this in place.
