FWIW I see just as many WVU, Penn St, and Tenn alumni/fans driving around

NOVA as I do VT and UVA alumni/fans. Heck if you patrolled I-81 South on Saturday when Tenn has a home game, then you should notice a significant influx of traffic because of all the people headed to Knoxville. Given that we live in a mobile society and the current trend is that more people are moving from the North to the South, don't be surprise if VT and UVA don't have the same level of dominance within the Commonwealth as what you think currently exists.

How is this for a wild conspiracy theory

We are so close to AAU status now. If the SEC took the Hoos

UNC, UVa and the P2.

This UVa and UNC Siamese twins scenario is nonsense! Living in NC, I can

Certain officials in NC said that UNC and NCSU are tied.

"VT's academic profile is better than some B1G schools."

That does not really matter in this realignment.

I have a hard time believing both the SEC and BIG don't both want to be in
Sunsetunderground 03/12/25 10:29 PM ET
Sadly they really don't need a school in VA.
VTCALS72 03/13/25 08:23 PM ET
I disagree
cvillehokie92 03/14/25 05:45 PM ET
UNC very much has been the home team, Bill Dooley built UNC on VA players

recent NCAA polls say otherwise.**

You make a fair point and I have seen some of those polls. I will say that
VTHokie2000 03/15/25 10:55 AM ET
Maybe. But once Texas and OU got scooped up, most schools are dilutive.
TDVick 03/13/25 09:28 AM ET
I think there's ND, a huge gap, UNC, and then the rest. I don't really
reestuart 03/13/25 11:46 AM ET
Maybe, but its a luxury. They certainly don't need either state
HokieNoVA 03/13/25 09:20 AM ET
The BIG is dying to get in the south. The SEC wants to get into NC and VA
Sunsetunderground 03/13/25 12:36 PM ET
I've not seen any evidence that they are "dying" to get into the south.

They haven't yet because no one was previously willing to leave the ACC
Sunsetunderground 03/13/25 02:55 PM ET
I doubt UVa is anywhere on their radar. Why do they want them?
reestuart 03/13/25 03:01 PM ET
B1G took UMD to try and weaken ACC and snap up
Brother Griswold 03/13/25 07:45 PM ET
Issue is they add no money at all. They have enough schools to fill
reestuart 03/14/25 08:17 AM ET
I’m not sure anyone outside of ND and maybe UNC
Brother Griswold 03/14/25 02:00 PM ET
TV will make the decisions, if not Stanford would already be in the B1G

You could say the same thing about Maryland
Sunsetunderground 03/13/25 03:55 PM ET
Maryland got them into DC when that was important. They got the money
reestuart 03/13/25 04:03 PM ET
I'm not sure either one of them cares about Virginia.**
reestuart 03/13/25 08:31 AM ET
Taking this further, let's say the SEC somehow gets UNC without having to
Maroon Baboon 03/12/25 10:33 PM ET
The BIG has tried to pry UVA away since they targeted Maryland
Sunsetunderground 03/13/25 01:07 PM ET
I know they tried in the past to get UVa in the past (when they took UMd),
