Texas disproves the point

Texas may not have the recent success of Ohio State or Alabama, but its brand is just as big and its core market is much, much bigger. Texas couldn’t make the Longhorn Network fly. If Texas could have made more money as an independent, Texas would be independent. No school has a higher opinion of itself than TU.
