That is an incredibly weak schedule for an alleged playoff contender.

It's 3 games. Miami, SMU, BYU. And two of those three are at home, against warm weather teams, with one (Miami) in cold weather, how much do you want to bet that the other (SMU) will also conveniently be scheduled later in the season? The other 9 games are against crap teams. Some of them (UNC, Mich St, Wisconsin) are "big brands", but not good at actually playing football. Many (Rice, Cuse, BC, Purdue, Stanford) are perennial bottom feeders. And I don't want to hear about the wonderful tradition of ND beating Navy for something like 273 consecutive seasons. Navy hasn't been football relevant since Roger Staubach suited up. And to think that this joke of a schedule has been assembled by a school that is the only institution in D1 with its own special "win and you're in" clause in the CFP.
