Yeah, I think if there was any "lobbying" it was by Disney, not the ACC.

Notre Dame is a big brand, but so is Miami, and why wouldn't Disney promote a brand they "own" vs. one they only have an ancillary interest in? I'm also sure Disney would love to subjugate ND into joining one of their partner conferences and minimize their appearances on rival networks. So, it makes sense to me.
