And it's a way of losing inferior current P2 schools without the tawdry duty of kicking them out. The regular season would be a massive money maker and dwarf the money that's out there now. In a matter of time, one of the two P2 conferences is going to separate itself from the other. Not sure which money model will win out, but it will likely happen sooner or later. When it does, the top end teams in the #2 conference are going to start looking around at the lower half of the conference--just like UNC, FSU and Clemson are doing right now. Moreover, as a way of getting the P2 on board with this, just grandfather the money for a limited time.
