A judge may not love that

The ACC/Raycom deal was far from a secret dating back over a decade. FSU has known about it this entire time but just now raised the issue in 2024 because the Big Ten and SEC got significantly better TV deals in 2022. Statute of limitations, laches, waiver and estoppel are all defenses I can see the ACC raising here (and to many of FSU’s other claims)

it's hilarious that FSU is pissed about it now when they knew all along.

Having suspicion about wrongdoing or hearing about it in casual discourse

I just feel that if nobodies like us were questioning the arrangement,

Much of the outrage could be theater.**

I vaguely recall conversations on this very board about that back then.

If FSU thought this was even a halfway plausible argument...

It's called a slow drip. They will continue to drop nuggets like this to
JohnsonCItyHokie 01/31/24 12:39 AM ET
it isn't a nugget; just a political distraction
daveinop 01/31/24 08:17 AM ET
This sounds consistent with the narrative that was mentioned
TDVick 01/31/24 03:54 AM ET
Maybe they have receipts, maybe not. FSU may have more surprises that they

nvm

At least keep it to stuff from after FSU signed the Grant of Rights.

He is as good as anyone reporting on conference realignment.

he's more entertainment than journalism

Perhaps, but he now has a track record of being right
WBGV 01/31/24 09:54 AM ET
oh, he's certainly right sometimes
daveinop 01/31/24 01:38 PM ET
Probably true, but do they have any evidence other than conjecture?
