Say what you will, but I'm not blowing the Big12 horn.

The Big12 as it stands today is just a shell of it's former self, but somehow, they pulled together and got a very competitive media deal. We lived through our conference collapsing, and survived. The ACC as it stands now is a superior athletic conference then the Big12, but relying on the GOR to keep it together in the current environment, only buys time for those that will not be invited to the BIG or SEC. Winter is coming, but the idea some think the ACC will not survive surprises me. There may or may not be some North east schools that end up in the Big12, hell, many on this board are ready to throw Cuse and Louisville of the bus as we speak, and there is still chatter of picking up WVU and Cincy - it just doesn't make sense to me. Say 4 schools being poached from those two conferences, and there are 10 left. It's pretty likely from where I'm sitting, and it begs the question, who will the ACC add? What moves can the ACC make right here and now to have the inventory if that were to happen? It's just a different perspective of aa guy that thought his school was going to get invited to the P2, and didn't. Life didn't end, and they pulled a conference out of their backside that actually looks like it's going to be a LOT of fun, with parity and growth. VT is caught up in the here and now, and they will land on their feet no matter which conference they end up in, I'm just saying that you can hope for the best, but make sure you plan for the worst. The top programs in the Big12 and PAC actually prevented expansion, then left for greener pastures. The middle and lower teams in the ACC need to stand up and be counted now, or it might be too late.

That is just it though some school do have more than 3 conference rivals.

The key is to not give everyone more than 2 protected games...
