ESPN will be able to directly compare ratings, ad revenue, attendance, and results against all the previous BIG-ACC years. Putting on my business hat, data is always helpful in making decisions. So this could be one factor to help espn determine the value of the ACC. Or more specifically, the value of each individual team in the ACC, which can be shared in future expansion discussions. I’m sure they already have some good data on the football side. All just speculating though.
