Way off base here. ESPN wants to make more money and will do that if

the ACC is a strong and compelling product. They absolutely care about this! They chose to secure the ACC years ago knowing that there would be further realignment. This wasn't an accident, this was calculated. I expect more changes in the next year or so in an attempt to secure the ACC as one of the 3-4 surviving conferences.
