That’s hilarious that ND pitched that

I don’t follow ND’s shenanigans that closely. But s that what they really proposed? If ND wants fair treatment, play 13 games and put some conditions on that automatic bid if ranked 12th. Sometimes they’ll have to be ranked higher given the weirdness of the auto G6 rule and possibility of lower ranked power conference champ. Too many special conditions for the yahoos. I care for Stephen A Smith, but he’s right when he said “Notre Dame. What makes them so damn special?”
