VT has played Clemson 7 times in 18 years since joining the ACC
...in the regular season (multiple ACC Championship Game showdowns).
These are the changes that will benefit everyone in the ACC.
Even if VT loses to Clemson every other year, it builds the ACC and VT “brand” long-term. Same with Notre Dame, FSU, and Miami.
Look at Penn State. They’ve benefited for 25 years by playing (and losing to) Ohio State and Michigan. Now they are on the literal cusp.
Penn State is our model. And our coach knows a little about that.
