It appears wealtjhy SMU alumni didn't want to seriously...
fund or back a non-Power 4 football program but are willing to go all out now that they're in the ACC. It's also interesting that newcomers Arizona State, Oregon, SMU, and Texas made their Power 4 conference championship games as did Army-West Point of the G-5 AAC.
