The university culturally, really is focused on academics and play for the game. They enjoy the spirited Lacrosse games and soccer. They are not avid fans, and really not into alot of the smack talk you see in SEC. However, they do not want any program, that diminishes the brand of "THE UNIVERSITY OF VA'.. Therefore, they have alot of deathly alumni who can just write a check, offer stock options, on the guarantee, dont ask me to attend a football event iwhere you might get sweaty and just too many folks. They do basketball because its come in and come out. They really dont do bowls, because its for the masses. But many of the UVA folks are top executives and when proposals go to their desks and UVA is not in the package, they will make sure it is.
