I wondered how long it would take for someone to reference The Alliance.

It is similar to the Alliance in one respect: People imagine all manner of intentions, purposes, and agreements that don't exist. The ACC, B1G, and PAC formed a voting bloc in the CFP to prevent ESPN from getting an extension of the playoff TV contract. The Alliance was their cover for meeting and discussing that. While there is much for the P2 to discuss about the NCAA, NIL, realignment, and on and on... I am cynical enough to believe that these two, who still compete with each other in every way, might be colluding on a couple of expensive developments. They may be working-out the careful, non-competitive dismantling of a certain Eastern conference. Perhaps they have seen a need to install silent signaling system to set a ceiling on NIL total expenditures. These are subjects they would not discuss openly, but which need their attention.
