was saying the Big 12 was in deep trouble after Texas and OU announced they were heading to the SEC. Maybe FSU leaves, maybe not? Maybe they have to stick around for another 5-7 years or longer? FSU has always barked loudly so everyone has to take their barking for what it's worth. There's no guarantee the Big 12 (16) fares any better than the ACC in the future. There's a lot of uncertainty. If the ACC does fall apart, I would hope a P-2 conference would come calling but if they don't, I'm not excited about going to the Big 12 and traveling out to the Rockies and great Plains. To be honest, I hope Tech doesn't end up in the Big 10 because of their coast-to-coast footprint. I'll be disappointed if the ACC adds Cal and Stanford. I might even be okay with Tech being in the #4 (even G-6) conference if most of the ACC schools are still in it. I'm just a fan of regional conferences. In a day when all of our universities are concerned about cutting their carbon footprint, it seems ironic that they are all increasing travel.
