How would that work?

First west coast games are at 330, more games available is cannibalizing existing viewers with maybe a few pac fans that live east added, don't see that as substantial. Late games, only die hards on the east coast are watching, again, not much to add there because they're already watching. Remember, additional revenue requires more eyeballs, the same number of eyeballs on more inventory is a negative

I wonder if we see a ACC - PAC 9 merger?
hokieZ71 08/04/23 10:19 AM ET
I believe people would.......
2hhoop3 08/04/23 03:06 PM ET
I guess this is a concern for Stanford**
Va AandM 08/04/23 04:39 PM ET
I think it is a concern......
2hhoop3 08/04/23 05:38 PM ET
No, I doubt it
GoobyPls 08/04/23 02:55 PM ET
This would have worked before USC and UCLA left.
wwhokie1 08/04/23 12:57 PM ET
The math does not even come close to working, no value to ACC
Vienna_Hokie 08/04/23 10:57 AM ET
Pac 9 with a GOR is a different ballgame
Colonel Jessup 08/04/23 12:48 PM ET
How would that work?

You are assuming ESPN will not step up the money with the APAC merger, not
Stech 08/04/23 12:02 PM ET
I just addressed that below. We aren’t consuming the Pac9. We are merging**
hokieZ71 08/04/23 10:58 AM ET
OK, even assuming the base is current payouts, which seems unrealistic
Vienna_Hokie 08/04/23 11:55 AM ET
PAC 12 viewership was fine. They just don’t have an eastern time slot.
hokieZ71 08/04/23 12:00 PM ET
ACC/PAC would need to fork over $864M to keep the status quo
Victor Tango 08/04/23 10:43 AM ET
No a merger doesn’t mean the Pac9 gets what we get.
hokieZ71 08/04/23 10:51 AM ET
Instead of a merger, how about an alliance?
EDGEMAN 08/04/23 11:13 AM ET
Lol, nice pull. Nah it’d have to be something more tangible.**
hokieZ71 08/04/23 11:24 AM ET
I'd rather not lose the money we get now.**
EDGEMAN 08/04/23 11:27 AM ET
I'd like to see it be just TV if that is what you mean.
Truthahn 08/04/23 11:06 AM ET
Doubtful, since UW and Oregon have put on the knee pads for a B1X invite
EDGEMAN 08/04/23 10:31 AM ET
Nah I don’t think that’s going to happen until 2030
hokieZ71 08/04/23 10:37 AM ET
aTm didn't want Big-TX in the SEC, but big conferences tell their members..
EDGEMAN 08/04/23 10:59 AM ET
It's funny - aTm assisted in this stupid destruction of college football
VPI_1998 08/04/23 12:50 PM ET
They'll always be little brother. LOL.**
reestuart 08/04/23 01:01 PM ET
By the way USC controls LA not the Big Ten.
hokieZ71 08/04/23 11:04 AM ET
Doubt the Big10 let USC tell them anything
vtka93 08/04/23 11:14 AM ET
USC is money. That 7B contract has USC’s prints all on it.
hokieZ71 08/04/23 11:27 AM ET
Texas rolled up like 14 years later too**
hokieZ71 08/04/23 11:03 AM ET
Nope, seems they weren't willing to bend over 1/2 way**
