Lifetime

We played Texas in the Sugar sold out, Georgia in the Peach sold out, TV

ratings were fantastic too. Auburn in the Sugar Bowl, sold out and great TV ratings. We did a home and away with Texas A&M, sold out and again TV ratings were great, even with a hurricane in Virginia. Alabama in the the Georgia Dome sold out and great ratings. I went to the Florida vs Florida State game in the Swamp (winner would go on to play Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl for the National Championship). The Florida fans I saw all loved Virginia Tech and were excited they might be playing us. They could not stop talking about it. I have a lifelong friend that went to Tech and lived in Santa Barbara and he told me that he would go to bars and watch the Tech game and it was packed with California residents that did not go to Tech, but pulled for them like crazy. They especially loved our fans. Lastly games at Fed Ex with USC and Boise State. Away fans from Idaho and California everywhere. Games sold out and TV ratings were again great. Yes we pull plenty of fans when we are a good to great football team and sometimes like when we played at Ohio State and Notre Dame when we don't have a good team. ** Edited by Stech at 7/6/2022, 5:24:50 PM
